The Lord Will Give You Peace

Haggai 2:6-9 New King James Version (NKJV)

“For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.”

With all of the turmoil and trouble in the world as we know it, we find ourselves searching for peace in all the wrong places. Some search for peace in the form of drugs and alcohol. Others search for peace in relationships that are unhealthy.
Sadly, some even look to there horoscope or a psychic. It is a joy to realize and understand that Jesus gives us peace.

HE IS PEACE!!!

Scripture states that Jesus is our Prince of Peace (See Isaiah 9:6).

Regardless of what is going on in our lives, we can have hope in the fact that The Lord Will Give Us Peace!

The Office of the Prophet

The Role and Responsibility of the Prophet

First, let’s define what a prophet is. A prophet is a man or woman that has been called by God to function as part of the Five-Fold Ministry as mentioned in Ephesians 4:11: “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers”. The term Prophetess is used when referring to a woman that holds this office. The Prophet or Prophetess is an anointed minister who God has given the ability to perceive and speak the mind of Christ to individuals, churches, businesses as well as nations. Prophet defined in the Greek as a messenger or a spokesman for God that speaks by divine revelation.

There are those who have the “prophetic gifting”, but are not called to the office of the Prophet.

The Responsibility of the Prophet

The prophet's primary responsibility is to bring about restoration, balance and order as well as speaking out against injustice, abuse and blatant unfairness in the church, the marketplace and government. The prophet is a warrior, a watchman, and a gatekeeper and is constantly in a state of readiness to do battle in the heavenlies. Ephesians 6:12 clearly shows that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Again prophets are warriors, not competitors. The spirit of competition does not exist in the life of a prophet/prophetess. Prophets are not judgmental towards other Christians who are doing the work of the Lord, however, are very judgmental when it comes to sin. The prophet is to “bring a big dose of God” wherever he or she goes; and is in total agreement with the word of God and has a fair knowledge of the written word.

The prophet's spirit is in line with the Holy Spirit in that everything the prophet speaks or declares points directly to Jesus Christ and not to him or herself. A willingness to learn from others as the Lord leads and directs is also very important for the Prophet/Prophetess, because the Prophet/Prophetess does not know everything and can’t “study’ everything.

Which Weapon Would You Choose

Recent tragic events that have taken place in the United States and around the world are causing people from all walks of life to ask the question, Why? Why the shootings in our schools? Why the bombings and other attacks around the world? People are starting to declare that they need a weapon for protection. Others are stating that the weapons are the problem. The Bible clearly states in 2 Corinthians 10:4 that " the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds", which simply means that weapons made by man are not the weapons that God wants us to use in the warfare we are taking part in as children of the most high God. This warfare is an invisible war, a spiritual war. Dear friend, we are in a Spiritual War, and it's time to choose the Weapon of Choice. The Holy Bible! Not guns and bombs. With the increase of school violence over the past several months it is plain to see that the war is intensifying. The battle rages on. Which weapon will you choose to fight with, the weapons of man or the weapon of God?

When prayer was taken out of our public schools, Christians suffered a defeat in this invisible war by NOT taking a stand to keep prayer in our schools. I can remember being in the first and second grade and every morning everyone in the entire school quoted the pledge of allegiance and also recited what is commonly called the "Lord's Prayer", See Matthew 6:9-13. "Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen."

When Prayer was taken out of the public schools, it trickled into other areas of our society, as we know it. Men who own businesses became more concerned about making money instead of the well being of their customers. The women who are housewives have become more interested in discussing the "Days of Our Lives" rather than getting together and praying for the lives of our day. Instead of crying over what happened on "General Hospital", go to the hospital and be a general of God and pray for the sick. Those who are sick and lost through sin truly are on the "Edge of Night" and only see "One Life to Live". It's time to show people how to live the One life they have and overcome the "edge of Night" and walk in the marvelous Light of Jesus Christ!

We also see men "fighting" to put a little ball in a series of eighteen holes with a set of clubs, or wanting to tackle one another to gain the upper hand and score a touchdown, or running around in a square box called a court where it's okay to steal a bouncing rubber ball from their opponent. Why not put on the same "game face" and share the Word of God! I guess the million dollar contracts are more important. It's clear that we have chosen the wrong weapon for our warfare. The Word of God is looked on as something profane and powerless. Now is the time to WAKE UP!

God's Word is sharper than any two-edged sword. Hebrews 4:12: "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Now that is pretty sharp. The Word of God is our Sword. It's time to pick up our swords, our Bible, and shake the dust off of it and polish it and prepare for war. Again, we need to stand and declare, "As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord"-Joshua 24:15. The violent activity showing up in our schools is the fruit, or the result of letting our guard down and not living the way God intended for us to live. We need to wake up before it's too late. No, my friend, it is not too late to take back what the devil stole from us. Those who have lost their lives for what they believe will have died in vain if we do not do what God almighty has instructed us to do. To live according to His instruction manual for life, the Holy Bible.

Which weapon will you choose? Stop blaming the different organizations and associations that deal with various weapons. Blame yourself for not doing battle in the spirit. Oh God our Father in heaven, forgive us for letting our guard down. Forgive us for being disobedient to your Word. Father in the name of Jesus; use me to bring healing to your people in this land. Teach us the true power of the Blood of your Son Jesus. Amen.

Friend, time is running out. The warfare in intensifying daily. The music we hear, the television programs we watch and the movies that we allow Hollywood to make which are ungodly will utterly destroy our society as we know it, unless we take a firm stand to teach the Word of God and prophesy against the prophets of Baal that exist today. The Word of God needs to be taught, preached and most importantly of all, lived! Let's start declaring and proclaiming the power of God. Let's prophesy in the name of Jesus, not the name of the devil (which includes the "almighty dollar", influence and power, which is selfishness, etc.). Let's prophesy that the glory of God will cover this earth and that all people will know and live according to the Word of God.

Psychics beware, you are hereby notified in the name of Jesus, give your life to Jesus now, turn from your wicked ways and serve the one true God. In the Name of Jesus, Amen. Please, choose the correct Weapon of Choice.
